Girl with Beagles

Double the fun, double the trouble, And this cute little girl looks like she might be in trouble. Wearing a white shirt and little blue shorts, our little friend holds a beagle puppy in each arm. The boy puppy has a blue ribbon and brown spots on his head and face. The girl puppy, or at least the one wearing a pink bow, has black markings on her head.

This charming vintage illustration of a girl with beagles is the work of Agnes Richardson (1885-1951). While not yet in the public domain in some parts of the world, since this postcard was published sometime before 1912, the United States considers it to be copyright free. Richardson was a British artist who illustrated children’s stories and picture postcards like the one this illustration is from.
