Fruit Basket Drawing

This fruit basket drawing reminds me of pieces that are quite older. It reminds me of wood engravings done on the small pamphlets and materials printed in the late 1700 and early 1800s. It might be from that era, but this version comes from a play produced in 1899. This fruit basket drawing was used on the title page of the work.

This drawing is one of the nicest I have seen in this style. The fruit basket has a nice and even weave and all of the apples? and leaves are clearly done as well.

An added bonus with this fruit basket drawing is that you could very easily colorize it to have bright red or sunny yellow apples. The basket could also be turned into any color you wanted.
